Gastroenterologist.

Dr. Lui says I have a couple of very minor ulcers in my stomach, but he thinks it's due to the steroids I'm on. I'm prescribed Omeprazole for a month to heal the ulcers. Yet more pills to pop.

OK, still don't know where my blood is escaping from.

Let The Tests Begin!

Back to see Dr. V at 11am. To stop Imuran, change to Diltiazem.

Only had a light breakfast this morning since I'm in for an endoscopy at 3pm today. Just to rule out any bleeding from my stomach due to ulcers or the kind.

Way different experience to my endoscopy in Brunei, namely I was asleep (although this did mean inserting an iv line into my hand and injecting a sedative, OUCH!) and not aware of anything! Back home they just sprayed my mouth with a local anaesthetic and I had to swallow in order for the dr. to insert the endoscopy tube down my throat. Not pleasant.

Back So Soon?

Hah! Dr. Vathsala didn't expect to see me back so soon.

After last week's transfusion, my blood's gone up to 7.2g/dl. Discussed possible reasons for my anaemia. I told her the doctors in Brunei think it's because of the Tacrolimus and they wanted to change me to another immunosuppressant, but she says it's real rare and we are definitely sticking to FK506. Hah!! I'm glad I'm back in Dr. Vathsala's hands. Goodness knows what the drs. in Brunei would have done to me! I ain't NO guinea pig I tell ya! To be poked and prodded and done as they wish! Hrrrmmph!

Sleepy Deepy!

Urgh! Had to wake up at 6.30am, to leave the apartment at 7.30am, to have my blood taken before 8am.

At least in Singapore they don't wait until the clock strikes 8am to start working. As soon as patients start arriving, they start ticking!

Flying Again.

Well, I didn't think I was gonna be back in Singapore so soon. I've been telling people that I'd be able to fly 4 months after the op, which would have been around April, cos my hubby and I were thinking of going off somewhere together.

So, it's almost April now, and I am off flying somewhere, except it's not where we planned to go, and not even with my hubby. It's just gonna be my parents, my nephew and the maid. Poor thing, he looked so sad sending us off at the airport.

Where'd My Blood Go?

Had to have another transfusion today, since my Hb is waaay down at 4.9g/dl. Given 1 unit packed cells at 7pm. Finished by 9pm.

Decided to make an appointment with the doctor in Singapore, since the doctors don't have a bloody clue about what's going on with my blood. Managed to make an appointment for next Tuesday.

Renal Appointment.

My Hb's still going down. It's 6.1g/dl from Monday's blood test. I wonder if having my period is gonna make matters worse?

Anyways, back to being admitted to hospital again. I wonder how long I'm gonna be in this time?

My Hb's gone up to 7.9g/dl after last week's transfusion.

Had to stop exercising since, just don't have the energy anymore.
