Just To Make Sure...

Since we don't want the "authorities" to know we have returned home (hehe! sounds as if we are doing some covert operation or something), I can't request the doctor for a blood test.

So, I contact my cousin doctor instead.

Thankfully, my Hb's staying put at 10.7g/dl. Relief. It's been a month since my last IVIG course, hopefully I won't need another one.

Flying Home Part 4.

Back home for a 2 week break. I don't think my Hb would go down at a critical level in 2 weeks right? If it should decide to go down, but we're all hoping it'll continue to go up, if not just stay stable.

Another Way?

A final early morning blood test at 7.30am before leaving tomorrow.

We go to see another Ustaz with the chief concierge of Royal Plaza. But I felt good about it this time. I do think I'm gonna get better.

Last Tuesday With Dr. V.

My Hb's gone up even more, it's 10.4g/dl. That's the highest we've ever seen it.

Dr. V. thinks I'm finally cured, so she says we can go home now. She's set up a final blood test on Thursday before we fly home.

I'm still a bit apprehensive. What if my Hb goes down while I'm in Brunei? She says she's gonna check if IVIG is available in Brunei. I tell her my cousin doctor says the IVIG in Brunei is VIGAM, not INTRAGAM. She asks me to have the details faxed to her.

My mom decides that we will go home, but will not inform the Brunei High Comm just yet, cos we wanna come back to Singapore for a follow up until we are really, REALLY sure I'm cured. So we set up an appointment to see her again in 3 weeks time.

I can't believe I'm scared to fly home. Should I not be happy that the drs have given me the all clear? Can't help feeling paranoid! Wish I could bring the drs and hospital back with me to Brunei... heheh!

On The Road To Recovery?

My Hb's gone up some more since last week, 9.6g/dl.

Although Dr. V's in a bit of a huff with Dr. Goh cos he's put me on antibiotics with has messed up with my FK506 blood levels. After having a go at him over the phone, we decide to lower my FK doses whilst I'm on the Clarithromycin, then back to normal doses after.

Please, please God, let my bone marrow be ok.

Public Holiday.

Since today is the National Day of Singapore, I won't know yesterday's blood results until tomorrow.

Watched the National Day Parade on Channel 5. The baby's having fun seeing the jets and planes and helicopters flying past the apartment.

My hubby's flying home today.

Wednesdays At The Haematology Centre.

Appointment at 10am.

Ok.... my Hb's gone up a bit since Monday's test. It's 9.2g/dl today. Is my bone marrow finally doing something? Keeping my fingers crossed, but don't want to get my hopes up yet.

Well, Dr. Goh thinks I'm on the road to recovery, so he's not setting up a follow-up appointment until I need to. Ok.....(still doubtful though).

Tuesdays With Dr. V.

Hb's up due to transfusion, 8.9g/dl. Have yet to see my Hb go up without the aid of transfusions.

Some minor adjustments with my FK506 doses, as my blood levels are on the high side. Other than that, still waiting for some good news.
