Last Tuesday WIth Dr. V.?

Appointment at 11am. My Hb's back up at 11.0g/dl after going down from the fever.

Dr. V. is convinced I'm over the worst, and if Dr. Goh gives the all clear, I can go home in the next couple of days. Great! Means we'll be back home even sooner than I expected. I really want to be back before the fasting month.

So, after we finish with Dr. V. we go over to the Haematology Centre to make an appointment with Dr. Goh. Unfortunately he's away for the next 3 weeks, and we definitely do not want to wait. So, off we go back to see Dr. V. and arrange for future visits and get a 2 months prescription.

Whoopdeedo! No more hospital appointments! Mom made a booking for us all to fly back on Sunday, so that's 4 days of shopping to do! Haha!

I'm In, I'm Out....

The doctor came in the morning while I was in the shower. I heard him say that I was going to be discharged today after my final IVIG dose. Hah! I've heard that before, so I'm not getting my hopes up yet.

Sure enough he came back in after I got dressed to say, Ooops! No... not yet.. they have to wait for another blood test result or whatever, so they'll know by Monday. Yeah.. sure.... So my mom made him speak to Dr. V. to make sure.

He came back again after 10am, all smiley and saying Oh yes, Dr. V. says it's ok for you to go home, bla, bla, bla, expecting me to fall on my knees and give him my heartfelt thanks! Pooh! Not a chance in hell buddy! You don't deserve my gratitude. Thanks to you, I've been in way too long. I deserve to be out!

So, after my IVIG run, and getting my discharge papers, blood forms for Monday morning and prescription done, we finally get really to leave. Can't say how happy I was to be out!! Well, my pants definitely fit better.

I'm A Prisoner!

Am really, really hating being poked early in the morning! Do they have to bloody do it every morning! My veins are beginning to turn into crap.

Started my 2nd IVIG course this evening.

The thing is I feel fine, but being confined in the room is really beginning to get to me. Am starting to feel hungry, which definitely means that I'm more healthy than ill. All I can do is look out the window once in a while. The only good thing that came out of this stay was that I definitely lost a bit of weight.

Beginning To Lose It.....

Ok... it's been more than a week and I 'm still in bloody hospital! I should've been out ages ago, but the doctors were a bit concerned with my high white cell count. So they're saying that I've still got an infection somewhere, although I've been on iv antibiotics all this while. I don't mind having an iv line, it's just that everytime they start the antibiotic, it really hurts.

Today, they say they're gonna start me on an IVIG course again. So after I finish my 2nd antibiotic dose for the day, they start running the Intragam at 6.45pm and I finish by 9pm. I'm beginning to get all teary eyed again, which means my stress levels are high.

Another Tuesday With Dr. V.

Uh-oh... woke up feeling real crappy this morning. I think I'm coming down with sumthin'. I had chills and sweats throughout the night. Lemsip just don't work, should've stuck to Panadol Extra.

Barely made it out of bed and into the shower, if it wasn't for today's appointment, I would've just curled into a ball, and die.

Oh boy... feel so shitty! The good news of my Hb at an all time high of 11.5g/dl was totally shadowed by the fact that I'm being admitted into hospital. Ok, Dr. V. says I should only be in a couple of days, 3 tops.

Put on a drip immediately. It wasn't easy getting a line in. Bloody junior doctor, or whoever she was. Nightmare having my blood taken for cultures. My mom stayed with me at night.

Flying To Singapore - Part 4.

Really, really bummed out to be going back to Singapore again. Been having such a good time at home, and not stepping foot near a medical institution for 2 whole weeks.

Early flight at 10am, so arrived in Singapore around 1pm. Even had time to catch Japan Hour on Channel News Asia.

Beats arriving midnight though, cos I have an early morning blood test tomorrow, before I see Dr. V. on Tuesday.
