IVIG Course - Day 1

So here I am back again at the Haematology Centre, having a hard time of it. The nurses really can't seem to be able to insert the iv line into my hand, so it takes SEVERAL attempts before they get one. I'm in tears by then, but I don't care, it too ******* hurts!!

Thankfully, Dr. Goh has decided to administer 24g IVIG per day, so that's only 2 bottles to run through each day, instead of the usual 5. At least it won't take as long, assuming my vein doesn't decide to act up. Sometimes, my vein just decides to collapse, so the nurse will have to poke me again to get a new line in. Plus the IVIG stuff is kinda viscous, so it does get stuck pretty easily.

I was supposed to have a blood transfusion today as well, but with all the difficulty getting a line in, there simply isn't enough time today.
