Am I Back?

Talk about a sabbatical! Hehehhe! What has inspired me to write back after about 1yr and 8 months? Who cares.... some things worth noting over the year;

1. 11th April 2006 - After much panicking and doa to Allah Al-Mighty whilst we were on Umrah, finally got me a brand new baby niece just soon after returning home. I enjoyed my Umrah, glad to be able to finally fulfill my promise of being closer to God and offer my gratitude for the many blessings I have received and for the successful transplant. Born on Maulidur Rasul, but my sister, being the modern lady that she is, did not want to go for the obvious choice of Rabiatul Adawiyah, so gave her girl the luverly name of Sofea Aryssa. She's a cutie pie!

2. Got me a decent job with The Brunei Times on 17th July 2006 with the HR dept. Well basically starting it up! Had to get used to 5 and 1/2 (sometimes 6 days) working after about 4 years not doing nothing. Never left the office until about 7.30pm almost everyday. Job is incredibly tuff and stressful, so was always on the lookout for something new, preferably in the government sector, very cliche i know, but, gots to take care of me first!

3. September - my sis began her 3 year posting in London. Left with her hubby first to prepare everything before having their 2 kids join them.

4. 18th November 2006 - My parents and the babies plus 2 maids in tow, left for London. Incredibly sad. Miss my monkey monster so much!

5. Finally had an offer with the government, so with song in my heart, tendered my resignation with BT on 31st January 2007. I received a $300 raise for all my troubles.

6. February 2007 - Celebrated my 31st birthday. Well and truly in my thirties.

7. Officially started being a government servant on Thursday, 1st March 2007. Made a donation to the Tabung Yayasan Anak-Anak Yatim PMHAMB in conjunction with the rezeki God has given me. Marvelled at the fact that I was home from work before 5pm!

8. May - My hubby underwent knee surgery for a busted cruciate ligament. Made a pretty good recovery especially with physiotherapy sessions at JPMC as well.

9. Al-Fatihah. My dad's only sister passed away peacefully on Tuesday, 15th May 2007 after suffering from a massive hypoxic brain injury, possible as a result of a stroke. He cancelled his trip to London. My mom, sis and babies rushed home for a week.

10. Today... with the advent of the Asian Food Channel on Astro channel 703 starting on the first day of Raya on Saturday, 13th October 2007, still have not lost my enthusiasm for food. Therefore in honour, here are just some of my favourite things I am hoping my mommy will bring home for me soon.
